Block of Cypress Hill (Pt. 3): Cypress Wants to “Get Higher” (Listen & Download)

What's the only thing better than Cypress Hill? That's right, more Cypress Hill. That's why I decided to temporarily dedicate give RefinedHype over to a big motherloving Block of Cypress Hill. Considering the onslaught of new material we've been getting in the lead up to their new album "Rise Up", it only seemed right.

Bringing up the anchor spot is the darkly banging "Get Higher", a track that, incredibly, isn't really about weed, at least by Cypress Hill standards. Don't worry, I'm sure they're still bringing out that six foot bongs onstage during shows, but "Rise Up" so far sounds like it's relatively sober. (Watch - now they're going to drop a new track called "Smokey McSmokesalot" tomorrow.) Anyway, instead of a smoker's anthem "Get Higher" is really a slow banger meant to be played at full volume while creeping down the street, preferably while flipping off cops. And no, I will not bail you out of jail if you take that literally.
