As part of their RED campaign Converse will be releasing their “Paint The Town (RED)” sneaker collaboration with graphic artist Parra. The “Paint The Town (RED)” Chuck Taylor consists of a tan suede exterior and a red interior. The sneaker also features various images of a cherry guy (or gal) with a body made of cherries and human arms and legs.
I love that Converse and Parra decided to make the interior of the “Paint The Town (RED)” sneaker red because not only is it symbolic of the RED campaign, but it also looks great and makes the sneaker pop even more. I must admit that I do find it somewhat odd that these sneakers don’t include the Converse Chuck Taylor logo. Most of their kicks normally include the logo so it’s kind of unclear why this pair doesn’t.
Converse is just one of various companies that release unique products for the RED campaign. 50 percent of the profit from these products are given directly to the Global Fund. For more information on Converse’s collaboration with Parra visit Converse.com.
