Childish Gambino Calls New Track “Unnecessary”, I Agree (Listen & Download)Posted by Nathan S. on 05/19/12 | Filed under Downloads, Childish Gambino, ScHoolboy Q |

Childish Gambino is always walking a fine line with his music. It's a mistake to box him into being an emcee who should only talk about his feelings and shit (fucking feelings). Some of the man's best work comes when he's being aggressive and throwing out some of his patented punchlines. On the other hand, if he tries to go too hard he loses me - the man's on a major network sitcom, threats just don't work. "Freaks & Geeks" is a great example of Gambino walking that line well, "Unnecessary" is a great example of him going too far.
ScHoolboy Q on the other hand, the man knows how to throw some lyrical weight around. Long story short, calm down Gambino. Trying to make your version of "I Don't Like"? That's unnecessary.
Gambino's allegedly got a new mixtape on the way that has yet to receive a title or date, which means that he'll most likely drop it on a Tuesday night via a Hulkshare link that dies in five minutes. Awesome, let's do the damn thing.
