Well this came out of motherlovin nowhere. Just a few days after the immaculately creative
Cee-Lo dropped his new album's first single "
Georgia", and a few months before his new album "The Lady Killa" drops, Mr. Green is back with a new mixtape, the somewhat unexpectedly titled "
Stray Bullets". Like we'd expect from one of the few men on the planet who can match Danger Mouse's weirdness, "Stray Bullets" meanders from tracks that sound like the theme song to a '70s tv game show to brightly sparkling pop hits to, most notably, a Goodie Mob reunion. Of course much to my chagrin he still refuses to rhyme, but I'll spare you from hearing me whine about Lo's refusal to kill a mic again.
Production from
The Grey Area and Cee-Lo, guest features from
Goodie Mob and the
B-52s (loveshack baby!), and, best of all, nary a drop or tag to be found. Thanks Cee-Lo. You like us, you really like us.
