Regular readers know I'm not so secretly becoming obsessed with
Cam'ron. He's like the R. Kelly of rap - most of the time I can't figure out how he's an actual human being, how someone who says and does the things he does manages to actual live on the same planet I do. I mean you're talking about a man who writes down the words, "Sometime y'all get crimey crimey, grimy grimy But those with a tiny hiney they get whiny whiny,", then says them into a microphone in all seriousness.
Which is why I wasn't
that surprised that yesterday's Cam track, "
Sour Life" was so terrible, but I was still left wondering how he let something that bad out into the world. And then I saw this MTV interview and it all totally made sense. Apparently his entire creative process involves going to Jim Jones' house, getting high, and doing as many songs as possible in three hours. Or, in the words of the man himself, "I'm not gonna act like some spaceship landed or a boat docked."
By the way, why are they in a laundromat, and am I the only one who thinks the way Vado just sits there silently is a little creepy?
