T.I., Cam, Ghostface & DMX Join Busta for “Stop The Party (Remix)” (Listen & Download)

I had just finished writing a column titled "When Did Busta Rhymes Become Terrible" when Busta Bust decided to prove my point and drop the terrible "Stop the Party", featuring a electronically sparse beat from Mr. I Owe $2 Million in Taxes himself Swizz Beatz. You'll have to excuse me for not posting it...but with T.I., Cam'ron, Ghostface Killah and DMX joining in on the remix, the track's now interesting enough to discuss. Let's take it one at a time:

Busta - In the words of the man himself, "I didn't even gotta change my verse for this shit." Yep, that's right. Busta was too lazy to even record a new verse for his own mega-remix. What happened to this man? He's a disgrace.

T.I. - Not one of his best, but TIP delivers a solid verse. Remarkably, he claims he doesn't smoke? Is that true? I feel like I've heard him reference smoking a thousand times - or am I just assuming I have since every other rapper on the planet does?

Cam'ron - "I'm the east coast Dre." No you're not. Although I have to hand it to Cam, he does know how to release an album more than once a decade (though just barely).

Ghostface - No surprise, my favorite verse of the track.

DMX - Holy fuck, I did not see this coming. Especially not after that Behind the Music. "I went away for a minute..." That's an understatement X. Still, although the lyrics are off, it's great to hear Earl going in this hard. Maybe there's hope for the man's career after all.
