What I Mean When I Say Busta Rhymes is Disappointing: “Knock You Out” (Listen & Download)

There's been a lot of debate lately about the rap merits of one Mr. Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr. One contingent seems to believe that Busta's still an elite emcee, while others (like myself) will always place in him in the best of all time list, but remain disappointed by his work over the last few years. Case in point, this new "Knock You Out".

Again, there's no question that Busta's one of the all-time greats, which means a track that flips a Biggie verse (from "All Men Are Dogs") into a posthumous duet should be incredibly, mind-blowingly dope. Instead it's just, well, shrug. I mean, if you like your emcees to rhyme "pussy" with "pussy" seven times in a row in the same monotone flow, you're going to fucking love Busta's work here. But for those of use who memorized every word of "Scenario"......I'll have to open it up to a vote:
