Oh, you thought
Bun B getting DJ Premier on a track was a big deal? You thought him
getting Drake on a track was a big deal? You thought wrong. For his latest leak, Bun B, or as I like to call him, Big Dick Cheney, has performed a hip-hop miracle, resurrecting the legendary
Tupac and his UGK homeboy for life
Pimp C for his new cut "Right Now".
I could say that the beat here isn't very good, but who cares? In addition to Bun laying it down, we've got a brand new Sweet Jones verse (surprise, Pimp enjoys the ladies) and a quasi-new verse from a vagina-obsessed Pac. And by quasi-new I mean that hardcore hip-hop heads heads may recognize it from as first surfacing on the unreleased/leaked "
World Wide Dime Piece", also featuring Greg Nice, Capital LS, Asu & Snoop Dogg, but if you're not one of the aforementioned hardcore heads, I'm guessing it should be new to you.
Solo albums are never as good as the group albums, but first Big Boi proved the exception to that rule, and now it looks like Bun might do the same. Expect "Trill O.G." to me a major, major album when it drops this coming Tuesday.
Oh, and I almost forgot. Congrats to
Trey Songz for sneaking in on this track to sing the hook. He's clearly the Chris Bosh of this situation - greatness by association.
