I don't want to make it seem like I just post everything's
Big K.R.I.T. does, believe it or not we do try to carefully consider the music we post around here at the RefinedHype offices, but I'll be damned if nearly everything Krizza touches isn't doper than...um...some dope. Ok, not my best analogy, but you're not hear to read about K.R.I.T.'s new cut "
If I Should Die", you're hear to listen to it.
I'll let you get to the afformentioned listening portion of the program in a moment, but for those interested, some quick background info (assuming you're reading this at all). K.R.I.T. of course handles production duties as well, building the track's soulfully somber beat around a sample from Marvin Gaye's "
If I Should Die Tonight" - props to the
Production Breakdown homey Richard on that one - and lyrically K.R.I.T. gets on his quasi-"Life Before Death" ish, dropping a hip-hop last will and testament in the event of his untimely passing. Let's just hope this is one case where life doesn't imitate art. Oh, and "If I Should Die" is off his manager Jonny Snipes' "GoodTalk Vol.9 (Curve Your Enthusiasm Edition)" mixtape, coming sometime after today.
