As if it wasn't clear already that Big K.R.I.T. is a part of Outkast's creativity-meets-Southern bluster lineage, the My City vet and recent Def Jam signee has just released a quasi-freestyle over Kast's classic "Jazzy Belle" beat titled "Can't Be All". And I say "quasi" because this sounds far more like an album cut than a freestyle. I think I'm just going to spend the rest of day playing this and the original back-to-back. Today is a good day.
"Can't Be All" will also be found on "Jonny Shipes Presents: GoodTalk Vol. 9" mixtape, dropping December 6 over on the mothership. (FYI - Jonny's the head of Cinematic Music and K.R.I.T.'s manager, as well as Smoke DZA and Curren$y's manager. Ah, now it all makes sense.)
