Big Boi Gets Boldly Experimental With Kid Cudi on “She Hates Me” (Listen)

Last week on the greatest podcast in history, ever, Donwill and I spent a good chunk of time talking about Big Boi. Big usually gets tagged as the more "mainstream", street-focused, straight up hip-hop half of Outkast, and that's true. But compared to Andre 3000 motherfucking everyone is more straight up hip-hop. Compared to the rest of the game, though, Big Boi's actually been more musically adventurous and experimental than the vast majority of the game, and new release, "She Hates Me", is proof.

Take a listen...see, the gap between Kid Cudi and Big Boi really isn't that big. In their own way, both are equally genre-bending. Come on, how many other dudes could rap over a beat like this and a banger like 'In the A"? Not many.

In case you can't tell, I'm on a "y'all mofos need to appreciate the greatness that is Big Boi" mission. Expect my mission to continue as we grow closer to the release of Sir Lucious Left Foot's "Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors" album on December 11. Until then, enjoy...
