I've lost track of where we are in the Azealia Banks hype circuit. I know we've already passed the "she's dope" introductory phase to the "she's overhyped" phase, but have we come full circle to the pushback to the pushback "actually, she's pretty dope" phase yet? Or maybe we've already passed that and we're aonto the pushback to the pushaback to the pushabck "fuck her, she's overhyped" phase.

Who knows, keeping up with the hype circuit, especially in the interwebs era, is exhausting. Since this is RefinedHype, let's just put that all aside for a minute and admit that Banks' new cut "Nathan" bangs. I don't know where Banks is headed, I don't even really know if I like her or not. All I know is that I've had "Nathan" on repeat for the last 15 minutes. That beats is a guaranteed headnodder and both Banks' and Styles P's flows are on point. At least for now, I'm just going to enjoy turning the volume up on this one.

Banks' "Fantasee" album is now due to drop on July 11 for those who care.
