In 2013 it can feel like it's impossible to write about new music without breaking down it's hype, the number of views it's getting and where it belongs on some meaningless list. It can't be a coincidence that we simultaneously have access to more music than ever before, and have a harder time simply enjoying it then ever before.

So please, just let me listen to ANTHM's new "Handful of Dust" EP a few times without worrying about the implication. I've got a feeling that I might really dig it, if I can only relax enough to dig it. The minute I can't fall in love with new hip-hop anymore is the minute I retire. I recommend you do the same.
