I've been doing this rappity rap thing for a long time now, long enough to see trends and era come and go. So I feel like I can legitimately say that we happen to be living at a time where hip-hop is enjoying a real renaissance.

There will always be that viral video, one-hit wonder rap, but everyday seems to find a new artist dedicated to making good music that means something - and now we can AirLineJay to that renaissance.

AirLine's new joint "What You Living For" not only imparts a nice message, aided by a guest verse from the always solid ANTHM, but it departs that message over one hell of a head-nodding beat. If this is the kind of music that's being created on the daily now, than our days are getting better and better.

AirLine's now officially on my radar, and his "To Whom It May Concern" album is due to drop sometime before "Detox". In the meantime, enjoy...
