After releasing samples here and there singer/songwriter
The Dream has finally released his LP which is named after his birth year "1977." Don't get me wrong
"1977" is a great sounding R&B album and all, but man he's doing a hell of a lot of complaining on this one. It's a little on the depressing side too. This is officially the album men will turn to after a rough breakup. You've got The Dream to help drown your sorrows and we've got Adele.
Dream doesn't skimp on the major guest appearances on "1977" either, he's got tracks with both Big Sean and Pharrell Williams. The Dream takes part in a little arrogant rapping on "This Shit Real Ni**a," the song that features Pharrell. Pharrell does his thing, but I think it's safe to say that Dream should probably stick to singing.
And although they can be a little on the depressing side "1977's" sorrow songs as I like to call 'em stand out the most on the LP. While "1977 (Miss You Still)," "Wake Me When It's Over," and "Wedding Crasher" are all heavy on the emotions they're the songs that truly make this project stand out.
