Maybe I'm suffering from a case of "The Wednesday's," but 50 Cent's explanation of how his version of "New Day" was created just isn't cutting it for me. From what Fifty's saying it seems like the beat was originally created by Dr. Dre and then Swizz Beatz added his own twist for Alicia Keys' version, but in actuality the opposite of that seems more like truth.

Despite Fifty's explanation, things still aren't adding up on "New Day." I think we're gonna have to break out the pen necklaces and enlist the help of Ghostwriter for this one.

Nathan Update: Agreed - what? If this was always intended to be 50's single, as it seems like he's saying, than why did Alicia release it first?
