I wasn't the only one writing 50 Cent's eulogy as an artist. His last two albums, "Curtis" and "When I Self Destruct" were hit and miss, to say the least, and the sales numbers were fittingly mediocre. Add in a disastrous partnership with the now buried Soulja Boy an a run of publicity stunts and it looked like Fiddy was becoming the Paris Hilton of rap - it was becoming increasingly hard to remember what made him famous in the first place.
But.....over the last couple weeks I've started thinking maybe, just maybe, if he gets back to the core of what made him so heavy in the first place, he could still regain his spot among rap's elite. First there was the beef heavy "Old 2002 Ferrari Freestyle", and now he's dropped a "When I Come Back" freestyle that's exactly the kind of gritty music his loyal fans have been missing. Could 50 pull an Eminem and recover from his past mistakes?
^ He's definitely headed in the right direction - let's see if he keeps it up or goes back to that Mean Mug nonsense.

Funny thing is that Mean Mug was the only Soulja Boy track that I didn't mind listening to. I hope 50 makes another good album, last one I got from him was pretty bad. (BISD)

Head bobber without question. This doesn't have hit quality written over it, but this is a solid track for Fiddy. Let's hope he keeps it going.
